Local Groups

Local groups can form and grow by methods including:

  • Introductions from contacts made via this web site.

  • Campaigning activities by individuals or existing members.

  • Like-minded people already in touch with one another.

Suggested local group activities:

  • Consider the many energy saving possibilities; set and review personal targets (not too seriously!) for energy savings in the home, in leisure and travel and, where there is potential for influence, in the workplace and in schools (e.g. see page Saving Energy).

  • Discuss climate change and latest news reports / television & radio programs / web information. Topics can encompass  e.g. renewable energy, scepticism, government progress.

  • Agree on any campaigning activities and carry them out on a single or multiple person basis, e.g. members can individually place notices, contact local organisations, give talks (ask us for Powerpoint file and content ideas), whereas two or three members together can man a stand in a town location or at an event (see page Campaigning).
